TANZ workshop provides nurses with an opportunity for collaboration...
The School of Nursing recently hosted a workshop for staff from the TANZ Bachelor of Nursing programmes. Approximately 65 staff from MIT, Otago Polytechnic, UCOL and EIT attended the workshop to share information about programme structures, course resources and educational and clinical innovations.
Professor Johann Keogh from Fulda University of Applied Sciences in Germany provided a keynote address. He spoke about international trends in nursing education providing some interesting information about the lack of regulation for nursing practice and education in many EU countries. BN staff were involved in a series of workshops including E–learning and clinical simulation, Research and clinical where content and delivery issues were able to be explored in more detail.
The workshop was extremely successful and provided an excellent opportunity for teaching staff to network with those in similar roles from the other TANZ organisations.
