TANZ has extensive experience in design, development and delivery of education and training programmes and courses - particularly in the area of applied workplace learning. TANZ's strong leadership in this area can be seen through a number of successful projects.
TANZ has access to the expertise of staff within its member institutions - a pool equivalent to over 2,000 people. This pool includes subject specialists and staff experienced in instructional design, facilitation, project management, finance and administration. In addition, its links with industry and business ensure that developments are aligned with business needs both present and future.
TANZ uses a project management approach from understanding client needs through to successful implementation. Regular project review and evaluation ensures continuous improvement and enables TANZ to design, develop and deliver learning that successfully meets the needs of business and industry, that is applied, relevant and engages the learner. TANZ staff, resources and strategic partnerships are the key to enabling TANZ to provide learning in the most effective and efficient manner.
TANZ integrates applied learning principles in its design and development. This includes recognising the variety of learning styles, enabling communities of learning, and contextualising the topic theory by relating it to "real world" situations. This enables learners to readily put into practice what they have learned. Wherever possible the design incorporates case studies and direct links to the learners' working environment - making it more relevant and applicable to their everyday work.
Applying these principles to programme design (whether short face-to-face courses or online one year programmes) increases learner engagement and successful learning outcomes.
